Terms of Service

Last updated: September 2026

These Terms govern your use of the Spargo mobile app and savewithspargo.com (together, the "Service"), operated from Calgary, Alberta, Canada. By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Who can use Spargo

You must be at least 13 years old and able to form a binding contract. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for all activity under your account.

2. Subscription, free trial and billing

Spargo is a paid subscription service. Access requires an active subscription or free trial.

Payments are processed by Stripe and are also subject to Stripe's terms.

3. Refunds

Except where required by applicable consumer protection law, payments are non-refundable and we do not provide refunds or credits for partial billing periods. If you believe you were charged in error, contact us at hello@spargo.app.

4. Price information — important

Spargo is an information tool, not a guarantee of price. Prices, deals and availability shown in the Service are gathered automatically from retailer websites, flyer data and submissions from users. This information:

Always verify the price at the store before purchasing. We are not responsible for any loss, expense or inconvenience arising from reliance on price information in the Service. If you spot a wrong price, please report it in the app so we can correct it.

5. Retailers are independent

Spargo is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any retailer or brand shown in the Service. Retailer names, logos and trademarks belong to their respective owners and are used only to identify the store or product a price relates to. Your purchases are made directly with the retailer, on that retailer's terms.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

7. Content you submit

You keep ownership of the photos, price reports and lists you submit. You grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, process and display that content for the purpose of operating and improving the Service. You confirm you have the right to submit it.

8. Our content

The Service, including its software, design and compiled data, is owned by Spargo and protected by intellectual property law. We grant you a personal, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the app for your own non-commercial use while your subscription is active.

9. Beta software

Parts of the Service may be offered as a beta or pre-release. Beta features are provided as-is, may be incomplete or unstable, may change or be withdrawn, and may contain errors in data. We may contact beta participants about their experience.

10. Suspension and termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time from Profile → Delete account. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms, if required by law, or if we discontinue the Service. If we discontinue the Service entirely, we will provide reasonable notice.

11. Disclaimer of warranties

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including any implied warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that price information will be accurate or complete.

12. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Spargo and its operators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, savings, data or goodwill, arising out of or relating to your use of the Service. Our total aggregate liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or (b) CAD $50.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law, including under consumer protection legislation.

13. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. If changes are material we will update the date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app. Continued use after the changes take effect constitutes acceptance.

14. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Alberta and the federal laws of Canada that apply there, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. The courts of Alberta have exclusive jurisdiction, except where applicable consumer protection law entitles you to bring proceedings elsewhere.
